Are you a child of God? Then you have a mission and a challenge! Everyone created in God's image was created to glorify Him (Is 43.7). For some, that is done in the everyday "workaday" world. They can glorify Him while they stock the grocery shelves, balance tires, work at the mall, or clean house and care for the kids. But if they want to do more: go on short-term mission trips, scholarship a kid to camp, keep a radio preacher on the air, or help in special building campaigns, where will they find the funds?
Others have a calling to bring glory to the Lord in ways outside the normal workaday world. They are to plant churches, to do missions, to make music, to take in foster kids, to serve others in ways for which there is little or no monetary return. How can they fulfill their calling and still provide for their own family and life? It's a challenging road to say the least! |
